Hello, and welcome to Episode 138 of the Planning Period Podcast, part of the OnPodcastMedia Network. I’m your host, Brad Shreffler.
This week on the show I am joined by Becky Lattof. Becky is a former STEM and 5th grade teacher. Her and I met through Steve Isaacs and his Sandbox show with Mike Washburn. Becky and I have chatted a bunch on Twitter, and she was a guest on UnScriptEd, my weekly live coding show on Twitch, so I knew she’d make an awesome guest for the podcast.
Becky and I talk about play within the classroom and for teachers, the need for teachers to continue to learn regardless of if they get support from above or not, why we need to rethink what learning and grading should look like, the importance of tinkering, and how great teachers make students feel OK to be themselves.
So, sit back and enjoy Episode 138 of the Planning Period Podcast, my interview with Becky Lattof.
