This week on the show I am joined by Cheyenne Batista the founder and CEO of Firefly Worldwide, a new global education consulting firm. She is a former New York City teacher and moved into coaching teachers and then to the corporate world.

Cheyenne and I talk about the difference between high-quality schools and high-quality instructors, how sitting in our discomfort “is the work” of fixing problems, especially with problems of inequity, the gap between what we need to prepare students for and what we are actually doing in school, why all humans, including educators, need to listen more, and how one person at a school who wants to make a school more inclusive can change lives.
