This week on the show I am joined by Roxy Bitere. Roxy is a 9th Grade English teacher near me. We have met a few times now for EdCamps and other local events and I knew she would be a great guest on the show.
Roxy and I talk about her poetry club at school and the role it plays, the problems with education not being considered important, why she believes in a classroom Instagram and connecting with students where they are, and the importance of high expectations paired with explanations of why those are the expectations.
