Hello, and welcome to Episode 135 of the Planning Period Podcast, part of the OnPodcastMedia Network. I’m your host, Brad Shreffler.
This week on the show I am joined by Dr. Sheldon Eakins. In my mind, there is a list of people I have wanted to have on the show when the time was right. I actually delayed inviting Dr. Eakins for over a year, thinking that his work would align with my master’s research project. When my research ended up going in a different direction, I decided to invite him on anyways.
Sheldon and I talk about the environment now in the times of pandemic and Black Lives Matter, his work on a Native American Reservation School, the struggle of talking about equity in schools, the inequities caused by the pandemic, the value of teaching in Special Ed, and how the best teachers are the kinds of teachers we want to be.
So, sit back and enjoy Episode 135 of the Planning Period Podcast, my interview with Dr. Sheldon Eakins.
